Dr. Jared Knopman, associate professor of neurological surgery, has been appointed associate editor of the Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery. In this role, Dr. Knopman will help guide the journal’s editorial direction, overseeing the evaluation of emerging research and innovations that shape clinical practice in endovascular neurosurgery.
Dr. Ning Lin, associate professor of neurological surgery, was named president of the Chinese American Medical Society (CAMS), for a two-year term. The CAMS is a non-profit, charitable, educational and scientific organization committed to education and community service. Established in 1963, it is the oldest and now one of the largest national Chinese American medical societies.
Dr. Jedd Wolchok, the Meyer Director of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center, was awarded a Pioneer Award by the Precision Medicine World Congress, in the immunotherapies and targeted therapies track. The awards recognize individuals who, through early vision or first-of-its-kind discoveries, set precision medicine in motion—trailblazers who introduce transformative ideas or technologies, laying the foundation for future advances.
