Foot pain can develop gradually over time and may interfere with walking, exercise, daily activities, and overall quality of life. Conditions such as plantar fasciitis and Morton’s neuroma are common causes of foot discomfort, often leading to heel pain, burning sensations, tingling, numbness, or pain in the ball of the foot. Factors such as aging, footwear choices, repetitive stress, standing for long periods, and certain health conditions can contribute to or worsen these issues over time. Left untreated, chronic foot pain may affect mobility, balance, and physical activity levels. Join Weill Cornell Medicine, Cornell Tech and the Good Life on Roosevelt Island Association (GLORIA) for a virtual session exploring common foot pathologies focusing on conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma, flatfeet, and fungal nails. Our session will include what these conditions are, common symptoms and causes, how they are diagnosed, and practical approaches to treatment, pain management, supportive footwear, stretching, and other strategies to improve foot health and mobility.
