Event Location:
Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library
Event Description:
Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) that cause symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fatigue, in addition to affecting other body parts such as the eyes, skin, and joints. Though chronic, these conditions are manageable with treatments including medication, diet, and sometimes surgery, but there is no cure. Join us for a discussion to learn more about Crohn’s and Colitis, including what they are, how they are diagnosed, and what steps can be taken to support overall health with these conditions during the Weill Cornell Medicine Wellness Series with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library.
