Event Description:
While occasional urine leakage, a frequent or urgent need to urinate, waking multiple times at night to use the bathroom, or difficulty fully emptying the bladder can be common changes with aging, a variety of health, hormonal, and lifestyle factors can contribute to or worsen bladder weakness and incontinence over time. Importantly, untreated bladder control issues can affect sleep, confidence, physical activity, and social engagement, and may increase the risk of falls and other health complications.
Join Weill Cornell Medicine, Cornell Tech and the Good Life on Roosevelt Island Association (GLORIA) for a virtual session exploring bladder health and incontinence, including what it is, what causes it, how it is diagnosed, and practical strategies to manage symptoms through lifestyle changes and medical treatment options.
